Senior Advisors

We are pleased to introduce our senior advisory team.

AMR consultants are veterans of our profession with proven track records and excellent "people skills". Clients benefit from our team spirit and cohesiveness – most of us have worked together for years. We share a value system and commitment to excellence that distinguishes what we do.

We have the credentials to undertake a wide variety of assignments – with small and large firms. Achieving measurable results, and solutions that reflect the true needs and capabilities of our customers, are our highest priorities.

Tom Petersen

Tom Petersen Tom is AMR's Director of Technical Services. He has worked extensively in PC and mid-range computing environments with a wide spectrum of operating systems, system software, and programming languages.

Previously, he held positions such as Manager of IT, Manager of Year 2000 Project, and Senior System Analyst with companies like Hudson's Bay, Sandvik Canada, and American Can.

Tom's expertise includes:

  • Conversions to Deltek Vision software.

  • Deltek Vision report writing.

  • Programming and database design.

  • IT operations management.

  • System security.

Tom studied Computer Science at the University of Toronto and achieved his Computer Science Technologies Diploma at Sheridan College.

Ginger Morneau

Ginger MorneauGinger is a key addition to our Deltek Vision support team. She joined AMR after spending 6 years in the AE industry – most recently as Controller for Busby Perkins + Will Architects in Vancouver. At BP + W, Ginger fulfilled a leadership role in the conversion from Wind2 to Deltek Vision.

Ginger’s skills in multi-company, multi-currency, and joint venture accounting – and experience as a Vision user – make her an exceptionally qualified Vision consultant and trainer.

Ginger studied financial accounting at Camosun College. Her professional development continues through her membership with the Certified General Accountants Association of British Columbia.

Fred Jene

Fred Jene Fred is a systems professional with over 20 years experience on a variety of hardware platforms. He leads our custom software development team. Using Microsoft tools, Fred ensures we build to specification and deliver – on time and on budget – extremely reliable applications.

Fred has a large cross-section of business experience and a strong background in accounting. He is known for his excellent end-user communication skills – and his ability to analyze, design, and prototype rapidly to facilitate client interaction and feedback. His talents also include dynamic web page design and have expanded to include Actuate programming. Deltek Vision incorporates the Actuate eReporting Suite to deliver a powerful, interactive reporting environment.

Bill Blum, CPA

Bill Blum Bill, a Certified Public Accountant, has an extensive background in the AE sector, the controllership function, and with various Deltek PSA products. His AE experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer with Spillis Candela & Partners, one of the oldest and largest professional design firms in the southeastern United States.

Bill is a Sema4 expert and able to provide assistance with any aspect of this popular Deltek product. Bill's Sema4 application knowledge is complemented by a thorough technical understanding of FoxPro and the Sema4 database. These skill sets have allowed Bill to easily transition to our Deltek Vision conversion team and begin supporting AMR’s rapidly expanding Vision client base.

Tim Hogenbirk, B.B.A.

Tim HogenbirkTim’s business career began with Philips Electronics, The Netherlands. A promotion with Philips led to his move to Canada and assumption of Controllership duties in their Toronto information services division. A mid-1980s opportunity introduced Tim to the AE industry. He continues to guide a prominent AE firm’s Controllership and Treasury functions, and is a valuable contributor to AMR’s small business advisory services. With AMR, he plays a key role is assisting customers with the transition from Deltek’s Sema4 software to Deltek Vision.

Tim holds The Netherlands’ equivalent of the CGA designation. He is a member of the Society of Design Administration Canada (SDA), and maintains leadership positions with The Rotary Club of Brampton and the Netherlands Luncheon Club.

Bob Plamondon, CA

Bob Plamondon A researcher, writer, educator, and consultant, Bob is based in Ottawa and leads our Public Sector practice area.

He is the author of numerous reports and studies dealing with public sector issues. He specializes in the areas of governance, economics, and taxation.

Bob spent many years in an executive role with a distinguished engineering consulting firm and is also a member of our professional services advisory team.

Other career highlights include:

  • Author of a study that achieved international recognition in Tax Notes International.

  • Serving as a judge for the Financial Post awards for best annual reports.

  • Serving in academia for over 15 years at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

  • Earning a Master of Management Studies and Bachelor of Commerce (Carleton University).

  • Qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1983
